A Women’s Natural Health Magazine has lead me to the discovery of Moringa Oleifera.

Moringa is , a multi-purpose tree thought to be native to north-western India.  The  name for Moringa in English is “Drumstick tree”, from the appearance of the long, slender, triangular seed pods.

The Drumstick or green pods, are probably the most valued and widely used part of the tree. They are commonly consumed in India, and are generally prepared in a similar fashion to green beans and have a slight asparagus taste.

According to Trees For Life. Org, Moringa oleifera has great potential in combating extreme poverty and hunger. The nutritious leaves grow quickly, and in many types of environment, and can feed people as well as livestock. Surprisingly, the leaves contain a well balanced profile of the essential amino acids, which is rare for a plant.
